This week, we rolled out updates to the website including a reorganized project sidebar, support for custom account avatars and project icons, and improvements to build comparison suggestions, projects list sorting, the hosting metrics timespan selector, and hosting request crash details.

Reorganized project sidebar navigation

We refreshed the sidebar for the project view. It was reorganized to better align with how our services are used rather than being modeled after our database. We know that no one likes to have their essential links moved around, so we took the time to test the changes internally for a while to ensure it was the right call. If you have any feedback about the refreshed sidebar, please reach out to us at website@expo.dev.

Account avatar and project icon uploads

You can now upload custom avatars for your user profile and organizations. You can also upload project icons on your project's settings page.

Additional information added to the build comparison suggestion list

We now show more relevant identifying information to the suggested builds in the comparison list. This should make finding the build you want to compare to easier.

Updated project list sorting controls

The controls for sorting your project list by name or recent activity have been moved into the table header.

New timespan option added to the EAS Hosting metrics UI

Customers on a paid plan can now quickly view the metrics for the last month.

Improved hosting request crash information

The hosting crashes UI now displays the type of crash that occurred and provides guidance on how to resolve the situation, if possible.

Thanks to Tomek, Kadi, Phil, Jon, Simek, and others for working on some of the changes mentioned in this post!
